The Surgery is back and on tour!
Jonzi D Productions is proud to present The Surgery! Back in full effect, The Surgery is an amazing showcase of hip hop theatre led by Jonzi D and featuring emcees, dancers, graf artists, beatmakers and more.
This March we are so excited to introduce three emcees from South Africa, gin i grindith, Hymphatic Thabs, and Krook'd da Warmonga who are coming over to the UK specifically for The Surgery! They will be collaborating with Jonzi D, Omar Musa (Australia), Psykhomantus alongside UK artists to create cutting edge hip hop theatre, culminating in The Surgery performances. Come see what it's really all about at The Albany, London (6 March), Contact Theatre, Manchester (9 March) and The Black-E, Liverpool (13 March). See you there!

BOOTCAMP at The Albany - FREE workshops
Prior to our next Hip Hop Theatre Lab workshop series, presented in association with The Albany, they are putting on some FREE workshops in aimed at young artists focusing on how to produce and perform cross-art form theatre, while encouraging confidence through the use of skills learned throughout the three days. Each day will focus on a different discipline, mentored by a different professional artist, all Albany Associate Artists: Zena Edwards, Curtis James and Charlie Dark.

Mohammed Ali's - Writing on the Wall
Jonzi spent last week directing a huge street art and spoken word project at Birmingham Rep. The show went up on Thursday 21 Jan and has attracted positive reviews. This is one from Birmingham's poet Laureate 2010, Adrian Johnson

FREE Dance Workshops at The Place!!
Friday 11th September
Try out different styles of street dance with some of the country’s leading exponents including our very own L'il Tim, Zoo Nation UK Dance Company and bboy Marso of Company Decalage and Bboys Attic. These are open sessions – no experience is necessary.
Sessions Start at 6pm, 7pm & 8pm followed by a party hosted by emcee Jonzi D with freestyle demos by some of the UK’s finest hip-hop and break dancers. DJ TJ spins hip hop, r&b and funky house.
